Cypher Jurjen & Peter: +T

Our Cypher was about the "+T", a habit of Rotterdammers in speech. You can hear it when talking with real Rotterdammers, they put a T in the end of almost every word.
It is such a typical Rotterdam thing, Peter and I decided to make a cypher from it, actually to make the answer a cypher itself: + T

Now this is the route you will walk, it start at the old centre of Rotterdam: De Binnerotte / Blaak:

When you'll start, you will find this piece of semacode:

...which is actually just an arrow, pointing in the direction of where you should go:

After a few meters you'll find the same trick:

This arrow points you to another crucial hint of the cypher:

It is a tinyurl, which links to a youtube video of Mike Bodde, a dutch comedian:
(In the video, please skip to 01.07)

The arrow next to it points you to the last hint:

When looking from the right angle: You see the answer as clear as it can be(!): +T

Urbanize: busy for editing...

For our urban game concept Urbanize I am busy to make an instruction video and trailer version for our game. Due to flexible setting of the game (which can be played in almost every city) there are some variables in the game which need to be explained in a video...

Our group (Damien, Marel, Jonathan and Jurjen) did our shoot last weekend, which was a killing hot day, and shot some nice footage..

Check more pictures from shooting day at Jonathans blog...
More info coming soon at Official Urbanize website

[added: 2 june] Some stills:

Our trailer / instruction video will have a touch from one of the following videos:

MP: Jurjen: Glow in the City

I am still busy figuring out the glow in the dark stuff.
Bought 70 plastic Glow In The Dark covers which you can put on a truck wheel.

On these photos my girlfriend and I are figuring out the illumination of the GITD covers and the duration of it.

I still need a solution where to place them. Tried it on the wall, but it didn't worked out so well...

Biggest Letter in City...concept

Okay, started too late and didn't managed to develop my original plan, because of delivery of the products:
Dipping wire/cables into Glow in the dark paint/powder/gel and throwing them from my balcony to the ground, creating an A.

So, here's just a Photoshop concept:

Seems to be impossible to get Coordinates on Google maps :S

MP: Peter: MirrorImaged

Before and during my presentation of mirrorImage,
I'd let application run and tried to capture some shots.

This worked out pretty fine, I got 300+ Images in about 3 hours of running.
I've made a small selection of the best pictures.

NOTE: Since I'm not really sure I should publish these photos, due to privacy,
but I'm doing it anyway, so:
If anyone one has a problem with the published content, please contact me.

Small side-Note: Sorry Marel, but your shots were awesome!

MP: Peter: technicalSketch

I've made a little technicalSketch for the "design" of the mirrorStand.
It will support the mirror as the webcam.

MP: Peter: Update MirrorImage

The OpenFrameWorks-script is done!
Mischan helped me out in the end.

What it does now, is:
-Search for a Face to show at the Webcam.
-Take a Photo of the Screen.
-Check every Second if the Face is still there,
if so, take an other Photo.

Here are some of the testShots,
made with the oFscript.
(Note: I made a compilation of three photo's, so in the end, it will be just one Photo at the time).

The oFscript can take up to 30 Faces at the same time,
so I think that will be enough.

So now what?
The first thing now which I will do is make a support for the frame.
So it will stand on its own, without leaning against something.
In that same support there will be a WebcamHolder, to make sure the webcam is placed right.
And then the agonizing pain, of waiting for my shipment with the "Reflective Window Film" to arrive from England.
Once I've placed that on my frame, the MirrorImage will be done.
